Description
345gsm polyester velvet with a bonded backing, the heaviest fabric in the range so far and built for upholstery rather than garments. The backing gives the pile dimensional stability so it holds its shape under sitting weight, and polyester's inherent resilience means the pile springs back after being flattened rather than crushing permanently the way natural-fibre velvets can. It resists fading and staining better than cotton or silk velvet, at the cost of a slightly less luxurious hand. Sold plain by the metre, ready for cushions, upholstery, and drapery, or as the base for your own printed run.
